Cannibalization Map Modeling

Cannibalization (Sales Transfer Models)

Cannibalization predictions are combined with the sales forecasts to provide a full picture of the results (or net impact) of opening a location based on the parameters defining the surrounding market.

Our models provide:

  • Cannibalization, or transfer model predictions in terms of % and $ impact to existing locations when an in-network event such as a location opening, closure, renovation, or relocation.

Network Simulations (“What if” Scenario)

Leveraging the core Sales Prediction and Cannibalization Prediction models, the user can:

  • Simulate the net effect on network performance from a series of network changes (“scenario”) and provide total net sales change for the scenario.
  • The events can include any combination of new store opening, closure, relocation, and renovation.
